Solutions

Available round the clock, without any additional callout fees

Silverfish are generally associated with warm, moist and dark locations, so check these areas of your property for any evidence of an infestation, including any moulted skin cases. Their presence can be linked to a defect in your properties damp course or general condition, so it is advisable to identify the source of any dampness and undertake any necessary repairs. Also try to prevent any build up of condensation in your property by keeping rooms well ventilated when cooking or drying clothes. There are three life stages for the silverfish: egg, nymph and adult. This begins when the female silverfish lays her whitish eggs in cracks and crevices around her habitat. The eggs will normally hatch into the nymph within 2-8 weeks, with the nymph resembling a smaller version of their adult form. It takes anything from a few months to a year for the nymph to moult around 10 times and develop into an adult silverfish.
